YCL has launched applications for the second cohort of our YCL Brasil course! It will take place from April 6 to June 2 in São Paulo, Brazil, and it will be broadcasted to other Brazilian states and foreign countries. Focused on building leadership skills to work on climate change, the course is taught in Portuguese and linked to practical assignments with partner organizations.
23 young leaders from 14 countries went to Berlin and Bonn . to visit international institutions and local initiatives in sectors such as international cooperation for climate change, energy transition, waste management, and making cities more liveable.
YCL's CEO, Cassia Moraes, was invited as one of the speakers of the Summit. YCL leveraged this access for a delegation of our #YCLnetwork members to participate in thiss important global event for the SDG and climate agenda.
From 20 July to 31 August 2018, YCL organized its first international immersion. First, we went to Paris, France, a strategic city due to its importance for climate governance. Participants had an induction week, in which they got to know each other, learn more about the program, and had lectures with key actors in climate international policy. From Paris, we went to Kenya, where we visited key organizations, such as the headquarters of the UN Environment. Participants also developed a group project to Endeleza, a local NGO located in Meru.
