About YCL Delegation to the GreenBiz 2021
In recognition of the critical importance of the climate and the critical role young people play in driving action, the YCL Network received an invitation from the annual event’s coordinator—GreenBiz Group—to bring a 10-person delegation to the event. The GreenBiz 21 is the premier invitation-only event for sustainable business leaders, convening more than 1,200 professionals online and high-level conversations across 80 sessions delving into the latest trends, tools, and insights shaping companies and jobs today and tomorrow. The event will take place from 09 to 11th February 2021. This delegation, like the others, aims to provide tangible takeaways for delegates in line with YCL’s core proposal to connect youth climate leaders to a global community of influential, front-line organizations, professionals, experts, and fellow youth leaders that are evolving the climate economy. Through meet & greets, breakouts, roundtables, interactions, and downloads the delegation will bring participants face-to-face, albeit virtual, with ESG/sustainability business leaders. Contributing to learning and supporting elaborated communication on climate actions, initiatives, and careers.
Why YCL is organizing this delegation
Attendance at high-level events focused on the diverse fronts of climate change action is crucial to building the connections needed to kickstart a climate career or bring it to the next level. In these times of bountiful online events, it is difficult to decipher the impacts of these virtual interactions and navigate which are worth the bandwidth. Thus YCL moves to continue facilitating impactful professional experiences that leverage the Global YCL Network’s access points and fluency for comprehensive programs.

Created in 2018, Youth Climate Leaders (YCL) trains and connects young people with networks and opportunities to build a career in the area of climate and sustainability.
